Dear Father,
first of all, I hope to find you and mom in great health and good spirits. Kindly accept my apologies for such an unfrequent correspondence; the Colonial postal service is far from being good, so, unfortunately, I have to adjust myself to it's unsatisfactory schedule.
This letter of mine will be short; there is some incident in a nearby village, which needs my urgent attention, so me and Anette are currently finishing our preparations for our upcoming visit there. There is a lot of work here, which is pretty interesting. I learned even more of local language - Hebrew, though, Anette is progressing amazingly fast in it.
She has a local friend (a photographer for some local newsletter), and the last weekend she went to Synagogue! Imagine that, who of all the London's society ladies would ever dare to do so? Anyway, it appears to be more freedom here, in Palesine, then in our old good conservative community. Also, we consume a lot of local fruits, which would probably shock some curious gemtlemen in the Club. I will do my best to bring some with me uppon my arrival (hope it will happen in soonest terms) .
Need to finish, our drive has just arrived. What do you think of european politics? Looks like a world is going even more chaotic each year. Especially what happens in Germany. My God! Could you imagine that national-socialists will ever rule it? It is much more shocking reading some news here, far away from home, then experiencing all those political changes in London, I guess. What do people say about the situation? Do we need to prepare for a war?
Have to go, Anette is calling me to head towards a vehicle. Please send my kindest regards to mom and gentlemen in the Club. I sometimes miss our rainy day little night talks with you and uncle Jeremy beside the fireplace. Hope to see you soon,
Yours,
Max.
